Hungu Valley Everest Trekking : General Overview

Hungu Valley Everst Trekking starts from Bung and ends at Lukla, Solukhumbu. As this is a newly opened trekking trail there are some features significantly striking the destination can offer. First of all, this being a newly identified trekking trail, the excitement to discover the non touristic and undiscovered land will certainly give picturesque exposure of its natural panorama and walking through rarely beaten rustic trail, undoubtedly, offers the thrill and adventure of journey to the travelers. This route offers travelers the exotic wilderness as vehicles are unreachable to the areas where travelers can experience of the joy of walking for days mentioned below in the itinerary. This trek also has to offer so much of diverse cultures entailing the rare flora and fauna as this region holds even the rarest species of birds, plants and insects that are disappearing from the world. Terraced farming of millet, maize, potatoes, sugarcane, wheat, buckwheat and many other crops that paint the topography in harmony with the exotic nature here gives a beautiful picture of rustic nature to the travelers. Simultaneously, you can enjoy observing the typical lifestyles and cultures of world famous ethnic groups: Sherpa, Kulung and others on the trail. What to Bring ?

The following checklist should help you with your packing. As a general rule, you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. The packed weight of your trek bag while trekking should be no more than 15 KG.

  • Waterproof overtrousers / rainpants

  • Trekking poles
  • Sleeping bag 4 or 5 season * (rated down to – 20ºC)
  • Warm jacket (down)*

 

Medical

  • Small, personal first-aid kit. (Simple and light)
  • Aspirin, first-aid tape, and plasters (Band-Aids)
  • 1 skin-blister repair kit
  • Anti-diarrhea pills
  • Anti-headache pills
  • Cough and/or cold medicine
  • Anti-altitude sickness pills: Diamox or Acetylzolamide
  • Stomach antibiotic: Ciprofloxacin, etc.
  • Do not bring sleeping pills as they are a respiratory depressant.
