Lower Dolpo trek truly provides an opportunity to experience the life in the remote highland. Lying in the western Himalayan region, battered by the high winds, arid and dry landscape, unbearable cold in the winter months and almost cut off from the development of the outside world, this region is a living example of a tough struggle against the harsh force of nature. The trail passes through some high mountain passes and scarcely spread local villages, with beautiful mountains towering above in the background.

It combines of nature tour together with insightful cultural experience.T here are opportunities to visit ancient Buddhist and Bon po villages, high passes, beautiful lakes, isolated Buddhist monasteries, to observe the vast array of endangered wildlife, including Blue sheep, Himalayan Tahr and Snow Leopard.The medicinal plant, Yarchagumba (Coerdiopsis sinensis) a type of wild mushroom is found in abundance in this region. Extracts from Yarchagumba is believed to significantly improve health and fitness. As you trek through this mystique land you see people collecting Yarchagumba in the fields and meadows.

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu in International Airport and transefer to Hotel 
Day 02: Kathmandu,prepare for the trekking / sighseeing 
Day 03: Kathmandu - Nepalgunj by flight, 1 hour flight and sight seeing in Nepalgunj and overnight in Nepalgunj Hotel.
Day 04: In the morning flight Nepalgunj - Jhupal 40 minutes flight and trek start about 4 hour walk to Dunai,camp in Dunai (2150m).
Day 05: Dunai - Ankhe (2660m) about 6 hours walk.
Day 06: Ankhe - Sumdo (3100m) about 5 hours walk.
Day 07: Sumdo - Ringmo Phoksindo (3728m) about 4 hours walk.
Day 08: Ringmo rest day and Excoration around the Lake.
Day 09: Ringmo Phoksindo - Bagala Phedi (4150m) 5 hours walk.
Day 10: BagalaPhedi - Bagala pass 5070m.7 hours and Pelungtang, 4465m.
Day 11: Pelungtang - Numala Pass 5190m.7 hours, Jaglung Gompa about 4520m.
Day 12: Jaglung Gompa - Dho 4150m. 5 hours.
Day 13: Rest day or Excoriation around Monastery and very interesting and old village around.
Day 14: Dho - Serkam (370m) 5 hours walk.
Day 15: Serkam - Khanigaon (3543m) 6 hours walk.
Day 16: Khanigaon - Heutaghar (2250m) 5 hours walk.
Day 17: Heutaghar - Dunai (2150m) 5 hours walk.
Day 18: Dunai - Jhupal(2400m) 5 hours walk.
Day 19: Jhupal - Nepalgunj by flight and afternoon flight to kathandu.
Day 20: Patan, Kathmandu city, Swoyambhu nath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath sightseeing or Shopping.
Day 21: Departure Transport to International Airport and fly back.

What to Bring ?

The following checklist should help you with your packing. As a general rule, you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. The packed weight of your trek bag while trekking should be no more than 15 KG.
