Mt. Annapurna Expedition includes climbing of  Mount  Annapurna (8091m). The term ‘Annapurna’ is composed of two words ‘Anna’ and ‘Purna’ which means ‘full of grains’. Closed strictly till 1948 for climbers, Annapurna was first climbed by Maurino Herzong and Louis Lachenal. The cost for Annapurna differs agency to agency. Annapurna Expedition is regared as technically challenging peak. Among the ascents , South facet of Annapurna is less used than North face. Mount Annapurna Expedition was the first eight-thousander located at approximately at 34 kim east of Dhaulagiri. The tota length of the whole Annapurna Range is 55 km. kaligandaki river flows between Dhaulagiri Range and Annapurna Massif. The mountain is generally known as full of grain, however,  the term literally means ‘Goddess of Harvest. Annapurna Conservation Area is protected zone for a wide range of flora and fauna.


Annapurna Massif comprises of five peaks: Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II(7039m), Annapurna III(7555m), Annapurna Iv (7525m), and  Annapurna South(7219m). It is the 10th highest mountain in the world and the traverse to its base camp is situated at 4130m. It is hike into dazzling mountain massif formed by staggeringly stunning peaks. Annapurna expedition also gives crystal insight into the wide range of flora and fauna as well as the peculiar Gurung and Magar culture in Annapurna Region. West face and northwest ridges are the standard routes to climb Annapurna. The unstable glacial section on the camp 2 from Camp 1 is most difficult part of the climbing. All over the way, there is a new rope fixed and the most slopes vary between 60 to 70 degree.

Mt. Annapurna Expedition starts with sightseeing of major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu (1400m) before driving to Tataopani (1189m) then heading to Ghasa (2048m)– Thulobogin Pass(4281m)– heading to Annapurna Base Camp. The climbing of Annapurna lasts for 29 days . After a successful climb of the mountain, the team traces back down to Thulobogin (1940m) –Lete(2480m) –Ghasa (2084m)–Tatopani(3210m ) from where a drive back to Kathmandu (1400m) puts an end to the trekking.
