Lumbini is world famous touristic icon in Nepal. Mayadevi Temple is the major attraction here and it is world famous becuase history states that this was where Gautam Buddha was born. There is a lake, where Mayadevi, the mother of Gautam Buddha had taken bath before she gave birth to him. Lumbini used to be monastic site and palace complex where Buddhist Emperor Ashoka erected a pillar and named it Ashoka Pillar . And Chitawan is famous for wide range of flora and fauna existent in Chitawan National Park, which was established in 1973 and enlisted in World Heritage Site in 1984. Chitawan National Park covers 932 km2 of the land. Located at subtropical zone, Chitawan National Park offers a beautiful experience of elephant riding and bird watching, including sightseeing of hte different wild animals and plants.

Chitawan and Lumbini Tours starts with sightseeing of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. We will drive to Lumbini after early breakfast in Kathmandu. Lumbini, which is 315 km away from Kathmandu approximately takes us 7 to 8 hours. We will stay in a hotel and the following day, we will visit Mayadevi Temple and Ashoka pillar and pay a visit around the city before driving to Chitawan. Chitawan National Park in Chitawan will be memorable for it gives beautiful sunset view. In addition to bird watching, elephant riding and sightseeing of the jugle safari, we will also get to see beautiful sunset from a riverside and Tharu people who perform a cultural stick dance to entertain the tourists. Having enjoyed all the memorable activities in Chitawan, we will drive back to Kthmandu the following day.

TOUR PROGRAM:

DAY 01:
Early morning start from Kathmandu after the breakfast, drive to Lumbini 315 Kilometers about 7-8 hours and after checking in the hotel, visit the Lumbini area (Brithplace of Lord Buddha) including the Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka pillar etc and some famous international monasteries around and back to hotel.


DAY 02:
After breakfast drive to Chitwan about 4 hours and start with the Chitwan part:
• Pick up from Arrival Point.
• Reception, welcome drinks and introduction to your room.
• Freshen up and briefing session.
• Lunch
• Cultural Tour (To Visit Tharu Village)
• Riverside Sunset view
• Tharu stick dance
• Dinner

DAY 03:
• Wakeup Call
• Breakfast
• Elephant Back Safari
• Departure, you will drive back to Kathmandu about 190 kilometers 5-6 hours and transfer to your hotel.
