Technically stating the trekking starts with a brief sightseeing of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu (1400m) prior to a drive to Pokhara (800m), Banglung (1020m) from where the trail traverses through Babiyachaur (2013m), Dharapani (2435m), Muna (2850m), Gurjaghat (3070m), Dorpatan (2960m) where a day’s acclimatization is taken before venturing ahead towards Thankurthali (3212m), Pelma (2540m), Shyagkhola (2431m), Saurekhola (2351m), Tarakot (2537m) and cross Jonglya Bjanjyang Pass (4500m) en route to Dunai (2140m), where a day’s rest is taken. Thereafter, the trail continues ahead to Chhekpa (2838m), Sundua (2850m) reaching Shey-Phoksundo Lake (3820m).
