We will be accommodated in 3-star hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara; and teahouses during the trek. We will stay at Nirvana Hotel in Kathmandu and Snow Hill Lodge in Pokhara. All accommodations are on double-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional. Himalayan Wild Treks will arrange rooms with attached bathrooms with 24 hours running cold and hot water however, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu, Pokhara and the trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher elevations.
 

#Ghorepani PoonHill Trekking Physical Condition & Experience Requirements

This trek being a moderate of sort requires a good health of a person with ability to walk on the trail for at least five to seven hours carrying a light backpack. Walking at higher elevations require more physical stamina than at lower elevations but since this is an average route anyone with good health, willingness to walk and passion for travel can enjoy it. For the warm up, physical orientation needed for this elevation can be gained through various exercises that can be done prior to the commencement of the journey. In addition to the sound condition of heart, lung and entire setting of a body, past hiking experiences will be a plus point. Besides, it is advisable that those with any past health problems have to make sure that are medically able to walk on the trail. It is also advised that you inform Himalayan Wild Treks of any conditions before booking the trek.

#Gorepani Poonhill Trekking Meals
Typical Nepalese food is the specialty we will relish on our journey in addition to the international cuisine that is Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian and so on. Breakfast and dinner will be provided according to menu that is in the lodge or a guest house. As for the lunch, it will be provided on the way to the next destination. All mealsincluding breakfast, lunch and dinner, will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu and Pokhara. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners.

#Gorepani Poonhill Best Time to Travel
As for the propitious seasons to carry out the trekking in the Annapurna Region, the suggestable time would be September to November and March to May. During these times, the visit will be showered with the arcane beauty of the nature and the outstanding landscape views. To avoid the traffic, you can choose any of the times from December to February. It is also to be informed that during the winter the temperature here goes down low that poses challenges to the travelers. Except for botanists, the trekking in this region in monsoon or summer that is from June to August can be impacted by the rain.

Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal. Our representative will receive you at the airport and take you to your hotel. After you freshen up and rest, you might want to explore Kathmandu and do some shopping quickly. In the late afternoon, a short debrief session will be held. In the evening, we shall held Welcome dinner where you will be invited. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Journey to Pokhara
After breakfast in the morning, we will head off to Pokhara in our vehicle. Drive to Pokhara is approximately 7 hours journey, with lunch stop of an hour. You will enjoy the drive. We will reach Pokhara by 2:00 PM. You will spend your night at your hotel at Pokhara.
Altitude: Pokhara: 827 m

Day 3 : To Nayapul/Ulleri
Next morning, we shall drive to Nayapul, then trek towards Ulleri. Initially, trekking along a river for 20 minutes, we shall arrive at Birenthanti. We will ascend small uphill to reach Hile and Tikhedhunga. Then, ascending the steeply hill we shall reach the Magar village—the Ulleri.
Altitude: Nayapul: 2070 m

Day 4 : To Ghorepani
Through rhododendron and oak forest, we ascend until we arrive at Banthanti. After Banthanti, through Nangeythanti we advance towards Ghorepani. The whole trekking in this day would go for about 5 hours. We will spend the night at this beautiful place in Annapurna region.
Altitude: Ghorepani: 2,856 m

Day 5 : Hike to Poon Hill/Tadapani
Today, we shall start our journey little early in the morning towards Poonhill. Poonhill offers spectacular panoramic views of Mt. Annapurna, Lamjung Himalayan range, Dhaulgiri, etc. The sunrise over these mountains is one of the best experience this trek can offer you. We shall return back to Ghorepani, have breakfast and trek towards Tadapani.
Altitude: Poon Hill: 3,210 m; Tadapani: 2,625 m

Day 6 : To Landrung
Today, we shall descend at the southern bottom of Ghandruk. Through stone staircases, crossing bridge over raging Modi Khola, we shall ascend stone staricases. After trekking for approximately half an hour we arrive at a large and beautiful Gurung village—the Landrung. We shall spend the night at Landgrung.
Altitude: Landrung: 1,664 m

Day 7 : To Dhampus
Next morning, after our breakfast and little exploration of the valley, thatched houses, terraced fields, crossing the suspension bridge over Tigu Khola, ascending a small hill for 15 minutes, we shall arrive at Tolkha village. Then the trail ascends to Bheri Kharka, Deurali, we arrive at Dhampus.
Altitude: Dhampus: 1,830 m

Day 8 : To Phedi/Pokhara
In the next morning, overlooking the Phewa Lake and Pokhara valley, we descend through stone staricases, pine and rhododendron forest, terraced settlements, and tropical forest until we arrive at Phedi. From here, we shall drive back to Pokhara and spend overnight.
Altitude: Phedi: 1,180 m

Day 9 : Journey to Kathmandu
Seven hour drive back to Kathmandu awaits us this day. After breakfast, we shall head back to the capital city, enjoying the scenic beauty the journey has to offer. After we reach there, you might wish to do some shopping. We will have a Farewell dinner at a restaurant.
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,350 m

Day 10 : Departure
We shall drop you at the airport with sufficient time before your flight. This is the last moment in Nepal, we will bade goodbyes. Have a safe journey back to your homecountry.
