Langtang, bordering with Tibet, offers a colossus range of flora and fauna. Tamangs being the majority residents, Langtang  National Park has a huge store of flora and fauna. It is famous for rend pands, common langur, pika, rhesus, monkey, muntjac, crow, musk deer, ghoral, black bear, thar, et cetera;  while  subtropical forest, oak, rhododendron, pine, birches, juniper are in plenty in the verdant forest that covers the low belt of the snow-capped mountains. Annapurna Range can be seen here with crystal clarity and the rhododendron and bamboo forests with breathtaking waterfalls are literally phenomenal. Renown for Himalayan Panorama, Gosaikunda and Lauribina Pass are other key attractions. Gosaikunda(4380m) contains alpine freshwater, which is also believed to be the abode of the God Shiva and Goddess Parvati. There are 108 lakes altogether, however, Gosaikunda, the oligotrophic lake, is widely known. Apart from Gosaikunda, Saraswoti Kunda and Ganesh Kunda are undoubtedly the touristic icons. Thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit Gosaikunda annually during the full moon night of August. Helambu offers a picturesque Tamang and Sherpa settlements painted with a spectrum of beautifully unique culture and lifestyle. This low altitude trekking with the maximum elevation 4460m, is suggestible for every age group.

Technically the trekking starts with a brief sightseeing of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley(1400m) prior to a bus drive to Syabrubesi(1550m) from where the trail continues to Lama Hotel(2380m), Mundu(3543m), Kyanjin Gompa(3870m), Tserko Ri(5000m), Thulo Syabru(2230m), en route to Gosai Kunda(4460m). Then the trails winds all the way through Ghopte(3440m), Melamchigaon(2560m), Tarkeghyang(2590m), Sermathang(2610m),Melamchi Bazar and drive back to Kathmandu, where the trekking formally ends.

Day 06: Mundu to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft): 4-5 hours

Day 07: Acclimatization: explore Tserko Ri (5,000m/16,404ft) 7-8 hours

Day 08: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel: 6-7 hours

Day 09: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,230m/ 7,316 ft): 5-6 hours

Day 10: Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa: 3-4 hours

Day 11: Shin Gompa to Gosaikunda (4,460m/14,632ft): 5-6 hours

Day 12: Gosaikunda to Ghopte (3,440m/11,286ft): 6-8 hours

Day 13: Ghopte to Melamchigaon (2,560m/8,399ft): 6-7 hours

Day 14: Melamchigaon to Tarkeghyang (2,590m/8,497ft): 5-6 hours

Day 15: Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (2,610m/8,563ft): 3-5 hours

Day 16: Trek to Melamchi Bazaar, drive to Kathmandu: 3-4 hours trek, 2 hours drive

Day 17: Final departure

We will be accommodated in 3-star hotels in Kathmandu. We will stay at Nirvana Hotel in Kathmandu and All accommodations are on double-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional. Himalayan Wild Treks will arrange rooms with attached bathrooms with 24 hours running cold and hot water however in the case of Kathmandu, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities during the trekking. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu, and the trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher elevations.


Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
This trek being a moderate of sort requires a good health of a person with ability to walk on the trail for at least five to seven hours carrying a light backpack. Walking at higher elevations require more physical stamina than at lower elevations but since this is an average route anyone with good health, willingness to walk and passion for travel can enjoy it. For the warm up, physical orientation needed for this elevation can be gained through various exercises that can be done prior to the commencement of the journey. In addition to the sound condition of heart, lung and entire setting of a body, past hiking experiences will be a plus point. Besides, it is advisable that those with any past health problems have to make sure that are medically able to walk on the trail. It is also advised that you inform Himalayan Wild Treks of any conditions before booking the trek.


Meals in Trekking 
Typical Nepalese food is the specialty we will relish on our journey in addition to the international cuisine that is Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian and so on. Breakfast and dinner will be provided according to menu that is in the lodge or a guest house. As for the lunch, it will be provided on the way to the next destination. All mealsincluding breakfast, lunch and dinner, will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu and Pokhara. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners.


Best Time to Travel
As for the propitious seasons to carry out the trekking in the Langtang Region, the suggestable time would be September to November and March to May. During these times, the visit will be showered with the arcane beauty of the nature and the outstanding landscape views. To avoid the traffic, you can choose any of the times from December to February. It is also to be informed that during the winter the temperature here goes down low that poses challenges to the travelers. Except for botanists, the trekking in this region in monsoon or summer that is from June to August can be impacted by the rain.

The venture into Langtang National Park after memorable sightseeing of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu unveils the dramatic landscape resided by indigenous people: Tamang and Sherpa slightly different from those of Khumbu Region. Langatang National Park offers a plethora of alpine flora and fauna while Gosaikunda Lake holds religious significance as the oligotrophic lake is believed to be sacred. People from far and wide annually pay visit to Gosaikunda Lake, believed to be the abode of the lord Shiva. Meanwhile, Helambu, unadulterated by the changes of modernity offers the traditional face of Nepal.The view of Ganesh Himal, Rolwaling and Langtang from here holds touristic significance. The return to Kathmandu via Melamchi Village is rejuvenating.

Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal. Our representative shall receive you from the airport and take you to your hotel. After you freshen up and take sufficient rest, we shall invite you at Welcome dinner in the evening, where you shall taste some famous Nepalese cuisines.
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,350 m

Day 2 : At Kathmandu
There are some significant World Heritage sites like, Swoyambhunath, Boudhhanath, Pashupatinath Temple, Basantapur Durbar Square, etc. that you might wish to visit during this day. You can do shopping for the trek. We will be participating in a debrief session regarding the trek in the later afternoon.
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,350 m

Day 3 : Journey to Syabrubesi
In the morning after having breakfast, we will drive to Syabrubesi. This drive is full of glimpses of mountains, river, and villages. After reaching there by the evening, we shall stay at a hotel in the night.
Altitude: Syabrubesi: 1,550 m

Day 4 : To Lama Hotel
After having breakfast, we will ascend through rhododendron and oak forest for two hours, and have our lunch at Bamboo village. Crossing across the bridge over Langtang Khola, after steep uphill we arrive at Lama Hotel. We stay overnight at Lama Hotel.
Altitude: Lama Hotel: 2,560 m

Day 5 : To Langtang Village/Mundu
Reaching Ghoda Tabela takes ascent of 3 hours through rhododendron and pine forest. We will continue our trek for three hours more to reach Langtang Valley. The cultural, religious, and natural phenomenon of the trail will arrest your amazement. We will stay at Mundu overnight.
Altitude: Langtang: 3,543 m

Day 6 : Trek to Kyangjin Gompa
After having breakfast, to reach Kyangjin Gompa, we have to pass through Mani wall and watermills. The best thing that this place has to offer is the views of Mt. Langtang Lirung and Mt. Ganchempo. You might be interested in visiting local Yak cheese factory, Kyangjin Monastry, and village houses. The night will be spent at Kyangjin Gompa.
Altitude: Kyangjin Gompa: 3,817 m

Day 7 : At Kyanjin Gompa
We shall spend a complete day to explore Kyangjin Gompa and Tserko Ri. From Tserko Ri, one can have spectacular views of the morning sun rise. We might also visit, Langshisha Khola and Langtang Glacier. The night will be spent at Kyangjin Gompa.
Altitude: Tserko Ri: 5,150 m

Day 8 : Return to Lama Hotel
We shall retrace our steps for a while, descending downhill through forests and Tamag villages to Lama Hotel. This return shall offer views of Himalayas we couldn't have view during our ascent. We will spend the night at Lama Hotel.
Altitude: Lama Hotel: 2,560 m

Day 9 : Trek to Thulo Syabru
In the very next day, we shall descend to river bank of Langtang Khola. After reaching Bamboo, we shall ascend to Landslide Lodge continuing our trek up to Thulo Syabru. Passing through waterfall and Pahare Hotel, we reach Thulo Syabru. We shall spend the night here.
Altitude: Thulo Syabru: 2,230 m

Day 10 : Trek to Shin Gompa
After breakfast in the morning, we shall head off to Shin Gompa. Through chorten, checkpoint, Garta Village, and Phulung Monastery we reach the Gompa. The beginning trek will be steeply climb which becomes less troublesome after we cross the Dimsa Village. We shall spend overnight at Shin Gompa.
Altitude: Dhin Gompa: 3,330 m

Day 11 : To Gosainkunda
Next morning, watching the spectacular views of Mt. Langtang, Annapurnas, Ganesh, Hiuchuli and Manaslu, we will mostly cover a ridge in today's trek. Through elevated village followed by wide trail, we reach Gosainkunda—the holy lake holding importance to both Hindu and Buddhist. We stay overnight at Gosainkunda.
Altitude: Gosainkunda: 4,460 m

Day 12 : To Ghopte
Next day, we ascend Laurebina Pass which is the starting of Helambu area. The route will be little tough as we will pass moraines, trek uphill, and cross three lakes. As the trail moves downhill to Phedi, trekking over uneven earth surfaces, steep hill, forest, we arrive at Ghopte. We shall stay overnight at Ghopte.
Altitude: Ghopte: 3,530 m

Day 13 : To Melamchigaon
Trekking through dense forest, ascending and descending in the hill, we reach at Thare Pati Village. Climbing a ridge, crossing suspension bridges, forests, we ascend to a beautiful village called Melamchigaon. As we climb over the ridge, the beautiful view of Jugal Himal can amaze us. We will spend overnight at Melamchigaon.
Altitude: Melamchigaon: 2,530 m

Day 14 : To Tarkeghyang
Downhill, crossing a river over suspension bridge, we trek through forest until we arrive at Ama Yangri. The top-hill offers spectacular views of Langtang range and Mt. Shishapangma. Further, here you might find stupa with flags flapping in the wind. Walking over broken stone, we reach Tarkeghyang.
Altitude: Tarkeghyang: 2,590 m

Day 15 : To Sermathang
After breakfast in the morning, through breathtaking forest, villages, monastery, chortens, and Mani wall, we arrive at beautiful village—Sermathang. This place offers views of Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, and even Mt. Everest if the weather is clear. We shall spend the night at Sermathang.
Altitude: Sermathang: 2,610 m

Day 16 : Journey to Melamchi Bazaar/Kathmandu
The trek of this day starts with wide even ground, but the remaining trek continues downhill through fields, meadows and small villages until we reach Melamchi Bazaar. Then we drive back to Kathmandu. After you freshen up and rest at your hotel, we will invite you at the Farewell dinner.
Altitude: Melamchi Bazaar: 870 m; Kathmandu: 1,350 m

Day 17 : Departure
This is the day of your departure. We will drop you at the airport ahead of time and bade our farewell goodbyes. Have a safe journey back to your home country.
