Manaslu Round Trek - 18 Days is an adventurous trekking. Mount Manaslu was climbed first in 1956 by Tashiho Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu. 'Manaslu' means the soul or the spirit of mountains as 'Manas' stands for soul in Sanskrit language. It is one of the well noted mountain in Annapurna Region. Surrounded by Budi Gandaki Gorge and Ganesh Himal, Manaslu is a serrated backdrop of snow and ice. It is also famed for Manaslu Conservation Area that convers 642m2 land that aims at conserving natural resources. The other major peaks are Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, Shring, Lano and Saula. You might spot impeyan, wooly hare, horshoe bat, Hiimalayan Ghoral, Koklass, Pheasants, Himalayan Musk Deer, Blue Sheep, Snow Leopard, Red Panda, Black bear, Musk Deer while rhododendron, Himalayan blue pine, magnolia and other beautiful flowers glorify the trail. Gurung, Bhutiya and Sherpa people are the major inhabitants. Syala village, Samagaon and Tsum region are the major attractions of the area.

Manaslu Round Trek– 18 Days technically starts with a brief sightseeing of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu (1400m) before a drive to Soti Khola (710m), then we venture into Machha Khola (900m), Jagat (1410m), Deng (1804m), Namrung (2630m), Samagaon (3530m),  from where we visit Pungyen Gompa and traverse towards Samdo (3860m), en route to Larkya Base Camp (4460m), Larkya La (5160m) Tilije (2300m) ,Tilije Tal (1700m) Tal Syange (1080m) from where driving back to Kathmandu(1400m) puts an end to the trekking.

#Manaslu Round Trekking Difficulty
Manaslu Trekking encapsulates the land that ranges from 228m to 8163m, which means the more you hike uphill the more tiresome it will become. You will have to walk over ten to twelve hours a day which means approximately 15 to 20 kilometers a day. The beginning days are difficult and Budhi Gandaki Gorge might turn out to be really challenging because it is tiringly steep. There are lots of uphill and downhill hiking through uneven mountain terrain whose rocky sections might feel difficult to cross. The highest pass, Larkya La Pass,5213m poses its own kind of challenge and adventure. At times, you will have to walk on the snow but no technical skill is required for that.

#Manaslu Round Trekking Best Season
Apparently there are two seasons which are considered best: Spring and Autumn. March, April and May of Spring months are propitious for Manaslu Trekking. Apart from Spring, we have Autumn, the moths of September, October and November, that's when an exodus of tourists flock to Manaslu Region for Manaslu Trekking. There is no rainfall, snowfall and other hindrances in the Manaslu Region during these seasons. During the Winter, the months of October, November and December, the trail remains slushy and snowy with Larkya La Pass blocked by snow at times. June, July and August may be months of heavy rainfall because it is summer.

#Manaslu Round Trekking Physical Fitness
You will have to walk on uneven trail of Manaslu Region. There are famous passes like Larkya La Pass. The trail is quite strenuous and demands physical stamina. Therefore, apart from being mentally prepared, physical fitness is mandatory for Manaslu Trekking. Without physical fitness any trekking above three thousand meters can be biting a bullet. If you are obese or overweight, then you will have to consider getting into fitness. The more overweight you are the more difficult the trekking turns out to be. So, it is important that you are in a good shape. Manaslu Trekking is regarded as one of the most strenuous treks.

#Manaslu Round Trekking:How to reach?
After a brief sightseeing of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley, we drive ot Soti Khola, followed by a venture into Machha Khola en route to popular tourists hubs: Jagat, Deng, Namrung, and Samagaon where we pay a short visit to Pungyen Gompa. We then traverse into Samdo, Lakya Base Camp and Larkya La. Thereafter we hike to Tilije, visit Tilije Tal (1700m), and Tal Syange. Then we drive back to Kathmandu putting an end to the trekking. #Manaslu Round Trekking Weather
Manaslu Trekking weather is basically cold but it may fluctuate many times a year. The sudden increas and decrease in the altitude can result in weather fluctuations, which apparently affects your itinerary and the the trekking for that matter.In terms of crystal clear weather, March, April and May are the best times for Manaslu Trekking. In addition, the months of Autumn(fall), October, November and December knowingly provide decent weather. Winter starts from December because of which the temperature remains sub-zero during the nights till February. In winter, some level of cold in the morning and evening, the daytime temperature is mild with some sunlight.
