#Itinerary for Mardi Himal Trekking
Day 01
: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft): 6-7 hours
Day 03: Drive to Phedi and trek to Deurali (2100m/6,720ft): 30 minutes drive, 4-5 hours trek
Day 05: Forest Camp to low camp (2970m/9504ft): 5-6 hours

#Mardi_Himal_Trekking_Cost_from_Pokhara
Mardi Himal Trekking Cost USD510 is in effect at Himalayan Wild Treks in case the trekking is started and ended at Pokhara, which is comparatively less expensive than the one which starts and ends at Kathmandu. The quoted price above is based on the total calcuation of ACAP fee, Transportation, TIMS Card Fee, Accommodation during the trekking, Meals Cost, Staff (Porters and Guide) and Staff Insurance. As the trekking starts and ends at Pokhara, the itinerary will also be designed accordingly. We would like to provide as much discound as possible with top quality service.

#Mardi_Himal_Trek_permits:

  • ACAP : Annapurna Conservation Area Project fee USD20 (NPR.2000 with 13%Vat included). For the SAARC Nationals, the ACAP permit fee is NPR.200. ACAP permit can be arranged by Himalayan Wild Treks.
  • TIMS : TIMS stands for Trekkers Information Management System. This permit is mandatory for the foreign travelers. TIMS Permit cost USD20 (NPR.2000) is necessary to keep the account of number of trekkers in a certain year.

#Mardi Himal Accommodations on the Trekking and in Kathmandu
We will be accommodated in 3-star hotels in Kathmandu. We will stay at Nirvana Hotel in Kathmandu and All accommodations are on double-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional. Himalayan Wild Treks will arrange rooms with attached bathrooms with 24 hours running cold and hot water however in the case of Kathmandu, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities during the trekking. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu, and the trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher elevations.

#Mardi Himal Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Mardi Himal Trekking  requires a good health of a person with ability to walk on the trail for at least five to seven hours carrying a light backpack. Walking at higher elevations requires more physical stamina than at lower elevations but since this is an average route anyone with good health, willingness to walk and passion for travel can enjoy it.  In addition to the sound condition of heart, lung and entire setting of a body, past hiking experiences will be a plus point. Besides, it is advisable that those with any past health problems have to make sure that are medically able to walk on the trail. It is also advised that you inform Himalayan Wild Treks of any conditions before booking the trek.

#Mardi HimalTrekking Meals
Typical Nepalese food is the specialty we will relish on our journey in addition to the international cuisine that is Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian and so on. Breakfast and dinner will be provided according to menu that is in the lodge or a guest house. As for the lunch, it will be provided on the way to the next destination. All meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner, will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu and Pokhara. The food that we provide during the entire trekking period will be made sure they are healthy and hygienic.There will also be welcome and farewell dinners.

#Mardi Himal Trekking Best Season
As for the best season to carry out the trekking in the Annapurna Region, the suggestable time would be September to November and March to May. During these times, the visit will be showered with the arcane beauty of the nature and the outstanding landscape views. To avoid the traffic, you can choose any of the times from December to February. It is also to be informed that during the winter the temperature here goes down low that poses challenges to the travelers. Except for botanists, the trekking in this region in monsoon or summer that is from June to August can be impacted by the rain. #Mardi Himal Trekking Difficulty
Mardi Himal Trekking can range from moderate to difficult as you gain further altitude. Walking distances from a camp to the next is very short and easy. Mardi Himal Base Camp to High Camp might prove to be more difficult as there is steep climb, the scrambling hours tend to elongate and the paths are relatively narrower at the altitude of 4500 meters. You will have to walk about five to six hours a day but there will be resting points that will revitalize you to move further.  First time travelers might find it strenuous and challenging while for novices, it is a trekking for fitness and adventure.

The joy and adventure of the Mardi Himal trekking is associated with the fact that how you are physically in a good shape and metanlly in a can-do spirit.If you are obese and take it for a fitness trekking, then you might end up catching altitude, which might put you through hostilities like altitude sickness. Mardi Himal Weather
Mardi Himal Weather is one of the concerns of the travelers.Obviously, Mardi Himal Trekking is one of the most rejuvenating and revitalizing trekking destination in the Annapurna Region. Weather from September to November remains clean, clear and tranquil with moderate temperature. March to May is the weather of flowering and greenery with crystal clear weather. June and July normally have the most rainfall. Even the sky remains clouded most of the time, which inhibits the view in the vicinity. December to February weather might be the coldest with the average temperature that remains sub-zero.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft): 6-7 hours
Day 03: Drive to Phedi and trek to Deurali (2100m/6,720ft): 30 minutes drive, 4-5 hours trek

After an early morning breakfast, we start our adventure with a drive to Phedi and start trekking from there. We walk on stone steps, terraced fields and through villages and forests before reaching Dhampus where we have lunch. We continue our walk to Deurali which is a small village beautifully located on a ridge with good views of the Annapurna South, Mardi Himal and Macchhapuchhare. Overnight in Deurali.

Day 04: Deurali to forest camp (2,520m/8064ft): 6-7 hours
Our trail passes through lush forest dotted with the red rhododendrons. The flowers are a common sight in Nepalese hills and it is no surprise that its Nepal’s national flower. Our trail is very quiet until we reach a clearing of the forest camp. We can take rest and explore the area which is also known locally as Kokar. Overnight in Forest Camp.

Day 05: Forest Camp to low camp (2970m/9504ft): 5-6 hours
We continue to walk through dense forests admiring Nepal’s rich biodiversity and reach the low camp. From here, the fantastic view of Mt. Machapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) up the valley is mesmerizing. We can spend some time in the evening observing the local lifestyle. Overnight in low camp.

Day 06: Low camp to high camp (3540m/11,328ft): 3-4 hours
We trek uphill alongside a ridge towards Mardi Himal and Macchhapuchhre. The tree lines start getting thinner and the area mostly consists of shrubs with isolated rhododendron bushes along the trail. If lucky, we might even come across the Daphne pheasant (national bird of Nepal) on our way to high camp. We ascend up to the high camp, which the final destination of the day. From here the mountain views are stunning. Overnight in high camp.

Day 07: High camp to upper viewpoint (4250m/13600ft), return back to high camp: 2-3 hours
On our trek to the upper viewpoint we ascend and descend, and sometimes on a steep and narrow trail. Our trail passes through pastures and we hike along a narrow ridge before reaching the Upper Viewpoint. The view of the Himalayan vista from here is astonishing. We see Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Baraha Shikhar (Mt. Fang) (7647m), Tent Peak (5695m), Singhachuli (6501m), Machapuchhre (6993m) and others. We trek back to the high camp for an overnight stay.

Day 08: High camp to Sidhing Village (1700m/5440ft): 6-7 hours
We take a different route in high camp that takes us to Sidhing instead of going back down to Mardi Himal. The different route lets us experience something different and makes our trek exciting. Siddhing offers a quiet stay for trekkers as it is tucked away from the busier trails. Overnight in Siddhing.

Day 09: Trek to Lumre, drive to Pokhara and fly to Kathmandu: 2-3 hours trek, 2 hours drive and 25 minutes flight
After an early breakfast, we walk towards Lumre finally reaching the road from where we begin our drive to Pokhara. After reaching the city, we continue our drive to its domestic airport and fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 10: Final departure
