Mt. Everest Expeditions

  • Overview
  • Details Itinerary

Everest Expedition offers thrilling experience of Mt. Everest, first climbed by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenjing Norgay Sherpa via South Col in May 1953. Approximately over thousand mountaineers make attempt to climb Mt. Everest. The southern route to Everest Region was opened by 1950 after China closed Tibetan border induced by cultural revolution in Tibet. The permit fee set by Nepal Mountaineering Association for Spring is USD $11000 and USD $5500 for Autumn  and USD $2750 for Summer and Winter. The price for Everest Expedition differs agency to agency. Most of the local and international agencies have a common margin falling between USD $65,000 and USD $70,000 while Himalayan Wild Treks organizes the same for USD $50,000 In addition to reasonable Everest Expedition Cost, Himalayan Wild Treks organizes Everest Expedition with client-friendly Everest Expedition Itinerary and  latest Everest Expedition Map.

Being the highest peak (8848m/29,035ft) Mt. Everest is over sixty millions years old, formed by the collision of Indian tectonic plateau and Asian plateau. Called Chomolungma in Tibetan language, Nepalease historian Dr. Banuram Acharya named it Sagarmatha wihich means ‘the pinnacle of firmament’ and later Sir George Everest, Surveyor General of India first recorded the location of Everest as ‘Peak XV’. There is also a legend that states the Everest Ascent by George Mallory, along with his companion Andrew Irvine in 1924. However, there is no evidence to articulate if they made it to the summit and that’s why it has been an unanswered mystery. Therefore, technically, the climb of Everest in 1953 by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenjing Norgay Sherpa is endorsed as the first human ascent of Mt. Everest ever recorded.

Himalayan Wild Treks is one of the top leading companies teamed up with professional mountain guides and Sherpa veterans at the ready with the whole mountaineering gear. Please feel free to contact us for Everest Expedition.
