Mt. Pumori Expedition offers once in a lifetime experience of climbing Mount Pumori (7145m), which was first climbed by Gernhard Lenser in 1962. This famous challenging mountain stands on Nepal– Tibet border in Mahalangur Section of the Himalayas. The cost for Pumori Expedition differs agency to agency. Local and international agencies have a common price falling between USD $0000 and USD $0000 whereas Himalayan Wild Treks  has limited it to USD $0000 for the same. In addition Himalayan Wild Treks offers the updated Mt. Pumori Expedition Map and flexible Mt. Pumori Expedition Itinerary.

Pumori Expedition requires good level of physical fitness and offers stunning view of peaks and mountains like Everest and Lhotse. The best seasons for Pumori Expedition are March to May and September to November. Pumori stands between Nepal and Tibet pyramid shaped. Because of its peculiar form it is distinct, standing behind Kala Patthar. Pumori lexically means “unmarried daughter.” Many mountaineer use Pumori as a training peak before climbing Mt. Everest. Known as technically challenging and adventurous peak, the summit of it offers mesmerizing view of the surrounding peaks in the Everest Territory.

There is standard route on the South East Ridge, stage 3 snow slope that demands good understanding of all the climbing technicalities and skills. There are altogether three camps en route to the summit all of which are above 5300m. The most part of the climbing traces upwards through glaciers and icy slopes. The slope varies between 40 to 60 degrees. There are snow glaciers and walls on the camp 2 at 6200m and crevasses on the way to camp 3 at 6480m.

The Mount Pumori Expedition starts with sightseeing of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu (1400m) while doing formalities of paperwork. Followed by scenic flight to Lukla (2860m) from where the trek traverses to Namche (3440m), where a day’s acclimatization will be taken. Thereafter, the team will head to Tengboche Monastery (3860m)- Dingboche(4410m) –Lobuche (6119m), from where the team heads to Pumori Base Camp (5300m). The climbing of Pumori will take 17 Days.
