Panch Pokhari Trekking – 17 Days unfolds holy and pristine lakes Pach Pokhari, which is a combination of five beautiful lakes that shimmer in the tranquil air at a stone’s throw distance from each other. Endowed with charisma of natural mystery, Panch Pokhari, which means Five Lakes, captivates the heart of travelers as well as the pilgrims leaving indelible imprints in the minds and hearts. Located at the base of Jugal Himal, Pach Pokhari is a true enigma of the nature. As Panch Pokhari, that lies in the North of Kathmandu is intersected with Langtang National Park, which is strikingly rich in biological diversity, picturesque view of mountain chains and terraced fields. Combination of different cultural heritage with Sherpa and Tamang people being the major ethnic groups, this is an off the beaten trail, which renders abundance of vast range of flora and fauna. During the janaipurnima, Hindu and Buddhist people visit these lakes to worship the God take dip into the lake with a long standing belief that doing so purifies the body and soul of a devotee. Panch Pokhari(five lakes) holds a substantial religious significance and besides, it is a perfect viewpoint for Dorje Lhakpa (6966m), Madiya (6257m)and Phurbi Chhyachu (6637m).Scenic mountains, cultural heritage, mountains, glaciers, and biological diversity are phenomenal here. The major inhabitants in the region are Sherpa and Tamanng whose major livelihood is the domestication of animals and farming. The rocky hills, suspension bridges, verdant pastures, wide meadows, thrilling ridges  with sporadic trees, picturesque chortens,  prayer flags, traditional wooden bridges over rivulets, yaks grazing in the pastures, and breathtaking view of Langtang Range takes the heart away. Feasible for both tea house and camping trekking, Panch Pokhari(4100m) is the major destination of the trail.

Technically, the trekking starts with a brief sightseeing of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu (1400m) prior to a bus drive to Chautara (1418),  continuing ahead to Phurse (2218m), Kami Kharka (2085m), Pauwa Bas(3315m), Hile Bhanjyang (3720m), Nasim Pati (3631m), en route to Panch Pokhari (4100m). Having explored the beauty of Panch Pokhari, the trail then advances towards Nasim Pati (3631m), Dukang (2310m), Dhap (1250m), Melamchi (870m) from where we drive all the way back to Kathmandu, bringing Panchpokhari Trekking -17 Days to and end.

Accommodations

We will be accommodated in 3-star hotels in Kathmandu. We will stay at Nirvana Hotel in Kathmandu and All accommodations are on double-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional. Himalayan Wild Treks will arrange rooms with attached bathrooms with 24 hours running cold and hot water however in the case of Kathmandu, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities during the trekking. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu, and the trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher elevations.
 

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
This trek being a moderate of sort requires a good health of a person with ability to walk on the trail for at least five to seven hours carrying a light backpack. Walking at higher elevations require more physical stamina than at lower elevations but since this is an average route anyone with good health, willingness to walk and passion for travel can enjoy it. For the warm up, physical orientation needed for this elevation can be gained through various exercises that can be done prior to the commencement of the journey. In addition to the sound condition of heart, lung and entire setting of a body, past hiking experiences will be a plus point. Besides, it is advisable that those with any past health problems have to make sure that are medically able to walk on the trail. It is also advised that you inform Himalayan Wild Treks of any conditions before booking the trek.

 

Meals in Trekking 
Typical Nepalese food is the specialty we will relish on our journey in addition to the international cuisine that is Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian and so on. Breakfast and dinner will be provided according to menu that is in the lodge or a guest house. As for the lunch, it will be provided on the way to the next destination. All mealsincluding breakfast, lunch and dinner, will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu and Pokhara. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners.

 

Best Time to Travel
As for the propitious seasons to carry out the trekking in the Langtang Region, the suggestable time would be September to November and March to May. During these times, the visit will be showered with the arcane beauty of the nature and the outstanding landscape views. To avoid the traffic, you can choose any of the times from December to February. It is also to be informed that during the winter the temperature here goes down low that poses challenges to the travelers. Except for botanists, the trekking in this region in monsoon or summer that is from June to August can be impacted by the rain.
